Six of us ate well. Host was friendly and funny. Don't understand the negative reviews at all. Food was rustic and service was engaging. Hope to return

We arrived almost after hours (22h) and were still received with big hospitality. The food was almost over, but we had Douradas and they were delicious. The side potatoes and salad helped tie the whole meal! Definitely a come back restaurant. Unsure where the waiter was from but he was amazing. Also the owner very picturesque, like a character straight out from a movie. Go! Eat!

My girlfriend and I were so happy after eating at this basic portugese restaurant. The ribs from the lamb were some of the best grilled lamb pieces I have ever had. The self made French fries were great as well. The fish my girlfriend had was also exceptional, so was the wine! The staff was friendly and quick and made the dinner pretty damn perfect!
If you are passing by this little village you must try this place, lovely owner and good food.
Stopped to have lunch here halfway through the day’s hiking, and had a fantastic broad bean and chorizo stew, with half a litre of local red wine. Superb service from Carlos and great food.

One of the last genuine places in Melides. Delicious traditional food, welcoming atmosphere, good vibes.

A MUST!!! Don't miss this local and rather excellent family-run restaurant. Carlos, the proprietor is a character, more worldly than Merides confines might suppose, good for a story, and it would seem a deft hand in the culinary depatment. The staff are very friendly, and handle customers with efficiency and aplomb. And the fish is excellent! Try the sardines and makerel, both local treats. Calamari and salad also good. Lots of reasons to spend an evening here!Excellent fresh fish, great service, real tasca with spirit, good food and character. Good wine. The only downside is that they do not accept cards, cash only.
